Irrational. Inconsistent. Clueless. Chaotic. Idiotic. All the usual.
Can we survive these worthless buffoons? Some won't. Some haven't.
Left's Willful Blindness To Terrorism Endangers Us All
Terrorism: Of all the many forms of blindness, by far the worst is willful blindness -- refusing to see what you don't want to see. That was in ample display in the response to terrorist attacks over the weekend.
President Obama said nothing. But he did allow his spokesman, Josh Earnest, to say this: "In some ways, this is actually just a war of narratives."
Parse that for a second: We are "just" in a war of "narratives," not of bombs, knives and other implements of murder. Incredible. Worse, Earnest says we're making "progress," which is now being endangered by Donald Trump giving ISIS a "narrative victory" by blaming all Muslims for the crimes of a few.
Let's see: Over the weekend some 11 bombs almost certainly the work of Islamist terrorists were either detonated or discovered, 30 people in New York were injured and 9 people in Minnesota were stabbed by a separate jihadist, but ... well, it's just a "narrative."
New York Mayor Bill de Blasio immediately opined that there was "no evidence at this point of a terror connection," despite clear indications that there was one.
New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo was a bit more specific, saying, "We've found no ISIS connection."
Don't worry, governor. When the investigation of the main bombing suspect, Ahmad Khan Rahami, is complete, we'll almost certainly find that he did not self-radicalize. He had help -- whether from a radical mosque, an imam or a school. Already, Britain's Telegraph newspaper has run this headline: "New York bombing: Suspect Ahmad Khan Rahami 'may have been radicalized after visiting Afghanistan'"
Elsewhere, Minnesota's clueless Democratic governor, Mark Dayton, whom we hope doesn't reflect the general level of common sense in the Land of a Thousand Lakes, actually called for "tolerance" following the attacks on nine of his state's citizens by a knife-wielding man mumbling about "Allah" and plainly choosing his victims based on their religion.
What, exactly, should Minnesotans "tolerate"? More knife attacks from knife-wielding Muslim maniacs who detest the West and all it stands for?
If you're one of these public officials -- all of whom, you might notice, belong to one party -- why say anything so bereft of meaning and willfully blind to the terrorist realities we live under today? Whether in London, Paris, Orlando, New York, San Bernardino or any number of other cities in recent years, the reality of domestic terrorism by homespun terrorists has become a deadly reality.
To pretend it hasn't, as de Blasio and other officials charged with protecting us do, endangers us all. But those on the left don't care all that much. Remember: the narrative.
Hillary Clinton used the bombing as an opportunity to hammer Trump, charging him with being reckless and "enabling" terrorists with his inflammatory promises to limit immigration from Muslim countries and to carefully vet those who come here.
And she said -- believe it or not -- Trump's tough talk was helping ISIS to "recruit" new members.
"They are looking to make this into a war against Islam, rather than a war against jihadists, violent terrorists," Clinton said. She added, "The kinds of rhetoric and language Mr. Trump has used is giving aid and comfort to our adversaries."
You can be sure that the media -- now working openly for Clinton's election -- will echo that point in the coming days.
So we're left with this formulation: Donald Trump enables terrorists. But not Hillary Clinton, who has an actual track record of enabling terrorists and -- along with her boss, Barack Obama -- letting them go by the dozens from Gitmo.
Her bad record is clear: Clinton's diplomatic ineptitude led to the creation of ISIS, the overthrow of neutral governments in Libya and Egypt that had helped keep Islamist terrorists at bay, and was mainly responsible for the general chaos in Syria, Iraq and the rest of the Middle East that has sent hundreds of thousands of Muslims fleeing to the West, destabilizing Europe and bringing the renewed threat of domestic terrorism to our shores.
Even worse, she helped pave the way for a nuclear deal with Iran that is now further destabilizing the region and may someday lead to a regional nuclear war.
Yes, these are all former Secretary of State Clinton's handiwork -- not Donald Trump's.
Trump really angered the media and their leftist Democratic political allies by saying "this is only going to get worse" and "we're allowing these people to destroy our country."
Well, if you define "these people" as Islamic terrorists, he's dead right. And his proposals to limit immigration from countries that have a history of terrorism and to carefully vet those who do come here for ties to terrorist groups are just common sense -- not "racism" or "xenophobia," as the left would have it.
In short, we don't need more "tolerance." Nor do we need to "change the narrative." We need to start protecting ourselves.
To do that, we need new leadership in this country -- not the feckless progressives now in power who blame America first and make us all less safe.
