departments, never heard of one having quotas. Often went multiple shifts without making arrests or even writing tickets just due to other workload.
But if you have your eyes open and just do your job, the rest falls into place. It's amazing how much crap just "happens", like being on a day off fishing and having 2 dumbfvcks lighting up a bong on the shore like they were sitting in their living room and oblivious to others. No, we didn't arrest them...but we did explain to them if the evidence didn't exist we couldn't charge them with anything and watched as they chose to dump their stash into the lake and pound their plastic bong with a large rock. That's not a war on drugs--that's a war on stupidity.
