My wife hates cats

When we were moving into our old house, we had the front door open so that we could carry things in and out. Upon returning for another box I got to the porch and noticed a huge cat sitting with its back turned to me right in front of the doorway.

So I hollered for my wife to come check it out, and let her know that leaving the door open in this neighborhood apparently will allow a cat to nearly walk into your house. But upon my yelling up to her, the 'cat' turned around to reveal itself as a possum instead and hissed at me and started walking in the door.

I think the noise I omitted in my surprise at that point closely resembled the screams of an 8 year old girl.
