the reasons that we are not a democracy.
The constitution puts checks on pure democracy. As a constitutional conservative this the main reason I abhor they way our courts have been used the last fifty years to subvert the constitution.
If power of the constitution to check pure democracy is eliminated then eventually what you posted can come to be. I feel that we are sliding that direction
