Even if your accusations against this group were completely legitimate it would be completely irrelevant with respect to that fact.

If news organizations reported a major catastrophe... and you could find some news organization that you really don't like reporting the same catastrophe... would your assertion in any way manner or form refute the idea that this catastrophe had happened?

No. It might throw some doubt upon that particular news organization's version of events for some people but it could not rewrite history.
