Was not impressed by Trump's speech today.

For one thing, don't see that he gained anything by it, though at least he stated policy. But I suspect those who would vote for him already agree with his stand, and I don't see him gaining undecideds with his speech.

But more to the point, I think this country needs more massive defense spending like Custer needed more Indians. What he SHOULD be concerned about is spending what we got wisely, monitoring the contracts and getting some accountants in the Pentagon that can account for the hundreds of billions they've spent and have no idea where the hell it went.

And, as to his idea of having the generals draw up a plan to defeat isis - if they had a better way of doing it WOULDN'T THEY BE DOING IT NOW? I don't really care what isis does - over there. The real job is keep them there, and never risk another American life there on the ground.

Lastly, as to isis and all the radical groups, I guarantee they recruit largely on the fact that the infidels are standing on mooslum ground. So stop standing on the ground.

Summary: Trump will fail at "defeating" isis, etc. As if killing them will prevent others from taking their place.
