Today was yet another reminder that you gotta pay up to win big. We first saw it when MIke Alden went cheap and settled for D2 coach Kim Anderson instead of sacking up and paying Gregg Marshall. Now we have one of the worst basketball programs in the country and have no chance at attracting a coach as talented as Marshall anymore.

Today we saw that instead of learning from his predecessors mistakes, Mack Rhoades instead doubled down on this losing strategy and instead of paying up for Tom Herman, whose Houston Cougars destroyed Oklahoma earlier, settled for true son and inexperienced and over his head Barry Odom. Now our football program is well on its way to following the basketball program down the toilet.

Hopefully the New AD won't waste any time in getting rid of Anderson and Odom and we can try to salvage our athletic programs before they're doomed to mediocrity forever.

Sad time to be a Mizzou fan. At least the Chiefs start next week.
