Last night is Argument Number 1 why it's an unfortunate mistake for the conference to force that game on teams for their opener. Both teams floundered around for a couple hours with jitters and first-game rust -- and now a good chunk of their SEC Division fate has been decided by less than a half of both teams playing legitimate football. That game was a "must win" for Vandy and a huge game for Muschamp and SCe whereever it landed in the schedule. To force it on the opener is a disservice by the conference in the interest of television.
