following his second visit to Columbia in 2 weeks Devin Booker would have committed to Haith and played his freshman season under Kim?

The 6-foot-6 guard was on Mizzou’s campus each of the last two weekends. He was in Columbia on Oct. 18-20 for his official recruiting visit, then back again Friday for the exhibition game at the Hearnes Center, where his father’s 1993-94 Big Eight championship team was honored before tip-off. Devin Booker filmed the festivities from his seat behind the Mizzou bench and sat alongside his father and former Tigers coach Norm Stewart during the game, a 73-48 victory over Oklahoma City University. Booker, who averaged 29.7 points for Moss Point High School last season, is ranked the No. 18 player in the 2014 recruiting class by ESPN and No. 30 by Rivals.com.
Its hard to see someone like Melvin who used to be coached by Kim allowing his son to re-open his commitment because we changed coaches and hired someone he was directly familiar with. If anything that development likely strengthens his commitment. And that would have given Kim's first team the dynamic offensive talent and go to scorer it sorely lacked. He also probably wouldn't have left for the NBA after only one season if he had chosen MU, and would have thus played for us last year too.
Seems like that is exactly the type of player Kim desperately needed to inherit.
