That's the "official" take on the matter.

If you allow that, which I wish they could, then how about flood stickers or patches on the Saints unis & so on, etc, etc??

From that perspective, it is somewhat reasonable & warranted, but if the calamity is big/universal enough like 9/11, then break out the symbolic imagery & even where LEO hats/gear on the sidelines, which I was & am all for in that instance, though some would label hypocritical.

However, if & when they decide to open the "new revenue source floodgate" by allowing advertising/marketing on the unis through a mutual pay for play scheme then no holds barred will be the eventual approach & we'll be lucky to find the team logos among the throwing, running, catching, blocking billboards.

Not that there's anything wrong with that from purely a business standpoint.
