Was it illegal to do what he did...if he did it?

As a businessman, if his competitors did that and got an advantage, a legal advantage, should he have demurred, taken the high ground and cost his company money?

Was he secretary of state, breaking laws and selling influence?
Was he a US Senator, breaking laws and selling influence?

If it was illegal and he did it, then he should be fined, or whatever the punishment is. But that would mean that fat hillary was selling the influence that he was buying. You wouldn't want her to be punished, would you?

You seem to be making the moral equivalence argument. And embarrassing yourself.
