Football and Basketball are two different animals....one is of supreme importance the other is a form of winter entertainment. You don't seem to understand that while basketball fills the role of relieving winter time boredom football is a Life and death matter.

Basketball will right it's self in time because of some of the reason you posted above. Flag ship university, top 20 pop. state, nice facilities and budget surplus. But there is no need to panic or rush into anything. Basketball is always a easy fix do to the nature of really only needing 1-2 really great players and some role guys who will play def. Get the right coach and it is all possible. Get a up and comer who is hungry and it's all good.
