It's my belief that Bob knew the D had to improve after canning Heupel & the Co-OC & WR coach (name escapes me) & keeping Mikey even though the D was the main issue. I'd bet he spent the off-season in the-film room/lab holding Mike's hand as he retooled the D to figure out a way to improve vs. the high-paced offenses.
