Didn't he get into a little trouble with the NCAA there?

I just think K has had to promise him a chance to keep him around. Once he started turning down jobs, even guys like Seth Greenberg think he will be next. I know K used him with the team USA players and that connection helps recruit. Capel gets a lot of credit for that.

Mike Brey has beaten Duke a lot, 3x in 2014-2015 when Duke won it all. Notre Dame was conference tournament champs, Virginia regular season. Duke gets the 1 seed in the easiest of regions with Gonzaga being their toughest match to the title game.
Notre Dame was very very good. All American point guard, veteran team that was a 3 seed in our region. kU was 2 seed, Wichita St was good but lost to Notre Dame. We were very lucky to beat them. The committee got them as far away from Duke as possible. Notre Dame, Virginia, Arizona all had legit gripes over Duke for that 1 seed. K just seems to always get a gravy path.
