Why would someone continually pretend to be a conservative?

When all of their beliefs show that they align with the liberal progressive green party?
In this case, it's because JG get's laughed at, made fun of so often, the only thing that makes him feel better, is to pretend to be conservative, so all that laughter , derision is directed at something he hates.
His sad reality, is that everyone is not laughing with him, but at him, and on a daily basis.
That's the cold hard truth of the matter, no matter what JG call's himself, he'll still be the board fool.
