Phillips has a full no trade clause at this point and has supposedly used it to veto trades to Arizona and Washington but he would be a good waiver wire pickup for the Royals. He shouldn't cost much (if anything at all) in terms of prospects since not many teams are able to acquire him right now.

He's still owed quite a bit of money over the end of this year and next year but he's started to heat up again and is still very good defensively.

Get it done Dayton.
