His offenses were amazing with great QBs and his defenses were also very good - that was just one dumb thing he followed. Larry Smith was also a very good coach but too chased points in a similar way and it blew up in his face several times. I remember one game in Boulder where we missed an extra pointin the first quarter and he kept going for two and going for two going for two and missing and we ended up losing by two points in a wild shoot out
