On the night of the Rams Super Bowl win in 2000...

I was living in Columbia with a fraternity buddy in an apartment. My roommate buddy was a vehement St. Louis hater from Kansas City and had been angry as **** the entire season at the Rams shocking success.

On the night of the Super Bowl, I ate dinner during the game but did not drink. My roommate got **** drunk and when the Rams won, he was so mad he basically tried to start a fight with me after I yelled at him for ****ting on my celebration. He went ballistic when I made a cheap reference about Derrick Thomas not being able to drive in the snow. There were a couple of buddies there and they broke it up. I had to work the next day and eventually fell asleep.

My roommate, however, continued drinking and got so drunk that he wandered around our apartment complex. About three a.m. he apparently got confused as to which apartment he lived in and started pounding on the sliding glass door of another ground floor apartment 100 feet down the way. The guy living there said he had the wrong place and my buddy thought it was me saying that so he broke the glass door and immediately realized he had the wrong place. He was acting so nuts the guy started crying and called 911.

I awoke to him sweating and drunkenly looking out the window furtively trying to see if the cops were looking for him. The cops did show up and never suspected my buddy, who has since moved to St. Louis and loves it.
