For this juncture in the season, the defense still ****s it's pants a little too regularly. Pitching hasn't been awesome and the prospect of improving it are slim. This is just one of those seasons that folks need to be happy they won a lot more than they lost. They don't suck by any means and if they make the postseason I honestly won't be too surprised. As you said, they have an uncanny way of finding a way.
