I assume that he loses his scholarship right away? I guess they haven't started fall classes yet, so does he attempt to transfer immediately? I think it'll be hard with pending criminal charges. Looks like maybe we're in for an APR hit on him if his next team is the Missouri Leg Irons.
Frankly, I'd rather see him make restitution, get probation and move on to a situation that's hopefully better for him. Dumb, immature and yes, criminal moves on his part, but would prefer that his life isn't reduced to that.
