if the point were just left to attendance, fundraising, support ... if they said they have a bigger and more successful program, they would frankly have a point.

I really enjoyed watching Pinkel's teams stomp those turds on the field most of the time, especially since I attended the 1993 drubbing in person and went to grad school there (loads of friends from that time). I can't think of many programs where the fans' perception and on-field performance is much more different than with respect to Texas A&M.
