Right, not to mention it was Mauk's 4th year in the program. People that are writing off Lock already are crazy. He was less than a year removed from playing against high school competition and was thrown into an offense that had no line, no run game, and suspect wide receivers all while playing against some of the best defenses in the nation. People keep saying, "If he improves.." well I'd be shocked if he didn't show massive improvement, and that goes for the majority of D-1 players from their true freshman year to sophomore year. Lock now has over a full year of time studying the playbook and being in the s&c program along with 8 starts under his belt and a much improved RB and WR group, he will be better. People just need to be half as patient with him as they were with Mauk.
