I don't understand the bashing

He was a freshman. Nobody expected him to be a star right away.

In spurts, I think he appears to be a good athlete with some skills. And his three-point shot will come. I don't understand the lack of patience. Marcus Denmon shot 30 percent from beyond the arc as a freshman.
