Krzyzewski is nearing retirement. Roy's not far behind. Duke and UNC will still be damn good, but there's an opportunity there for Bennett to put Virginia firmly on that level. They're already pretty much right there, having won two of the past three ACC titles.

So he's already competing with them and has Virginia primed to take their spot in the next 5-10 years. Why leave that for a team at the bottom of the SEC? I doubt Virginia lets him leave over $900k/year.
