The sign reminds Sterk about motivation and next-level thinking. The Aztecs’ only Division I team championship in history is men’s volleyball — in 1973.
Sometimes, Sterk hangs the sign outside his office so visitors — including coaches and athletic staff — catch a glimpse.
“Every once in a while I’ll hang it out there,” Sterk said, “for people to think about where we’re going.”
