Regarding the reported transfer pitcher...

Madi Norman, does anyone know what her injury status is at this point? Not really worth discussing if she will be helpful to the team in 2017 until we know what exactly her injuries were at Louisville, and if she has completely recovered from them.
She was a tremendous high school player at Tipton, Mo. Had a promising freshmen year at Louisville, went 6-5 overall with a respectable ERA before she was injured, didn't pitch at all her freshman year after April 12, 2015. Up until then she started 8 games and appeared in 18. Against her toughest competition, Washington, Minnesota, Missouri and Florida State she pitched 13 innings and gave up just 5 earned runs. On Feb 13, 2015 she came on in relief against Mizzou, in a game we won 5-1, and shut us down completely, allowing us 2 hits in 4 innings and no runs.
Then in the 2016 season she pitched 3 innings in 2 games in early February, then never pitched again the rest of the season. Don't know if she was reinjured then, or was still recovering from her earlier injury and they decided to redshirt her.
She will have 3 years here at Mizzou, and if she is healthy and can pitch to what she did most of her freshman year at Louisville could certainly contribute here as maybe a #3 pitcher. But it depends entirely on her health status now.
