Posted Friday by Blake Toppmeyer. Not sure if this has been shown here, amidst the interviews with Reesman. Here is Foleys published statement on EE and the investigation:

"At Mizzou, we are committed to insuring the health, well being and safety of all of our students, faculty and staff. To this end, we are committed to complying with state and federal laws that prohibit discrimination and harassment. We can confirm that the internal investigation by the Office for Civil Rights and Title IX involving University of Missouri softball coach Ehren Earleywine has concluded, and it was determined that there was no violation of our non-discrimination policies."

"At the same time, the university remains equally committed to our core values of Respect, Responsibility, Discovery, and Excellence - and we believe it is incumbent upon each member of our campus community to demonstrate these values in their words and actions. Senior leaders in athletics are currently discussing next steps and I, too, will be involved in those discussions."

Seems to me he is making a careful distinction between a violation of federal law, and EE's general conduct. Toppmeyer noted (correctly I think) that Foley seemed to be implying something with the second paragraph.

Make no mistake about it, they could decide that even though no violations of federal law occurred, the conduct still warrants dismissal. Certainly the finding of no Title IX violations helps EEs cause significantly. And so does the departure of Rhoades, who made it very clear he was on a mission to have EE fired. What is not clear to me is how much of Macks mission remains in the hearts of other key members of the AD who will, along with Foley, be making the final determination.

I'm more convinced than ever now though that the positive statements made last week by Crane and Rathburn were just an overreaction to the Title IX news, and did not reflect any inside knowledge that they knew a final determination had been made regarding EEs status for next year.
