"It's my understanding from conversations I've had that the chancellor prefers a sitting AD with AD experience, which Jon does not have. He's leaning heavily on Todd Turner and his national search firm. Turner is known for targeting ADs that he's targeted for previous jobs. It wouldn't surprise me if that's the priority right now. If those options don't work out, maybe Sundvold emerges as an option - but that doesn't mean Jon will like being a fallback."
