and that is in a general sense in terms of a supervisor and subordinate.

I don't know the specifics of their relationship and whether Frank Haith explicitly told him to have Gant workout in violation of NCAA rules. But Frank Haith was responsible for making sure his staff understood and followed the rules.

Tim Fuller did not.

Haith either knew about it or failed to prevent it.
