Numbers don't bear that out

As recently as 2012 and 2013 we averaged roughly 12,000 fans per game and were in the top 30 in the nation in average attendance.

Last year, it had plummeted to roughly half that and we were 85th. It seems to correlate pretty closely with the capsizing of our program.
