A lot of that debt is due to trickledown economics, resulting spike in social service demands accompanying the Great Recession and W's wars. Today the Right runs these sad sounding ads that woe is me debts are so high we might not be able to repair America's once great infrastructure, the subtext being that we will be FORCED to dismantle social services, that being the ENTIRE POINT of starving the beast as W did.

The Right should be proud of their success. One thing IS clear, it is not on Obama. In fact, when Hillary wins and the Senate goes back to Dem control - only four seats away and TONS of GOP seats at risk, we might well see some fantastic progressive measures put in place.

Game Changer? Maybe.
