I love Missouri football. Even when we have bad teams, this is my team. Players change, coaches go, conferences change, blah blah blah. Go tigers. If Alabama is playing USC and we are stuck playing SE Louisiana, I am more interested in Mizzous game than that blue blood bash on primetime. I am there to watch Missouri play. Weather, time of day, opponent, doesn't matter.
I want to see us always improve and compete. We had a nice team in 1998. Almost won our division in 2003. We were #1 in the CCG vs OU in 2007 but lost. 6 years later we found ourselves top 5, playing in the SECCG. In 2015 we witnessed Pinkels best (but not most talented) defense ever.
I have a hard time being pessimistic when I see my favorite team take these steps. We upgraded Faurot and hopefully we keep improving facilities. I just want constant improvement until we see our Tigers hoisting the CFP trophy under the confetti
But if we don't get it I will still love this team and cherish the memories because this is my f**king team
