I've criticized Haith a lot over the past three years.

But what he did with that team he inherited was magical. One of the top two years I can remember as a Mizzou fan. (I was eight in 1994; 2008-09 is first, then 2011-12, then 2001-02.)

I don't blame him for the opening-round loss, and I totally get why the players on that team would be so loyal to him.

He made a lot of mistakes in his three years at Mizzou, but the way he handled that first team was damn near perfect.
