“From a personal standpoint, I’m excited to go back. I played over there several years ago. My wife and I and family are looking forward to going back to where we played."
On when he played in Italy …
“It was a long time ago. My first year there was actually I guess it would be ’77-’78. I ended up playing there two years and played in France for a year. I actually played in a town called Forli. It’s near Bologna, kind of in between Bologna and the Adriatic Sea. We’re not going to play a game there, but my wife and I, we’re going to try to take a little side trip and go back. I’m sure there’s been a lot of changes in that many years, but our team’s excited and obviously we’re excited. I have been back a couple of times, but it’s been quite a few years since I’ve been back to Italy.”
“We’re going to play four games. We’re not going to practice once we get over there, but I think those 10 practices will be really beneficial for us.”

Anderson, who played professionally in Italy in the late 1970s said he and his wife, Melissa, are even going to have an opportunity to connect with a former professional teammate he hasn’t seen in well over 30 years.
“It’ll be cool to do that,” he said. “We’ll get a chance to breakaway for a day and see the town I played in, we’re excited to do that.”
