Mizzou "hosted" 75 or so kids for Night at the Zou. I believe the university can only pay for one "official" visit/trip...which is usually around signing day. Unofficials are at the cost of the family/kid. So, my question is this...would Night at the Zou be considered an unofficial or was the university allowed to pay portion (or all) of the travel costs? It seems odd that a kid would be "invited" to come but then have to pay their own way. Especially when they already have a camp earlier in the year where kids had to pay for their travel expenses. Many of the kids invited to this weekend's event were certainly not local. I see other schools doing a similar concept...just wondering who is paying. On campus camps, multiple field camps, Night at the Zou...sheesh.
