- I wish instead of focusing on Norm’s lack of NCAA tourney ultimate success, they would have taken time to point out that prior to 1987 onward Norm really had a rather good NCAA tourney record. Or at least put in proper context his focus and the historical era of the time instead of making the uninformed generalization that his lack of a Final Four should be considered a blemish.

- It really highlights how fun it was growing up an MU basketball fan during his prime. Attending a game in the Hearnes Center was an amazing experience, and MU was consistent national force. There is absolutely no question during that period that MU basketball was a source of tremendous pride.

- They made a repetitive point that Norm’s greatness can be measured by Missouri people acknowledging he was ‘pretty good’. But the thing that struck me is how completely inadequate 1 hour is in trying to summarize his accomplishments and what he meant to the state and University. You could give him a 5 hour documentary and it still would have to leave a considerable amount of important details out, that to me is a better measure of his greatness.

- Its really great to see him so happy, and still maintain his tremendous sense of humor and unique perspective of looking at things. I really wish when we played some of the more ****y games on the SEC network with various bozo’s for commentators they would convince him to go back to doing a few color commentator broadcasts.

- Possibly Norm’s greatest attribute as a coach was his force of will. He willed MU basketball from utter despair to national prominence. We didn’t win all our games, but there was never a time when we backed down from an opponent or felt like we didn’t have a chance at victory. He expected to compete hard and win every game, and he made sure his players had the same expectation.

- Below the discussion of whether his coaching or involvement with Coaches vs Cancer is his true legacy…the answer is obviously both. But at a more micro level his legacy is hearing his players talk about him and the impact they had on their lives.

- It really can not be undersold how imperative signing John Brown ultimately was for MU basketball, and then a similar but even greater undertaking accumulating the class of 1979 was. It is unfortunate though that Ricky Frazier wasn’t given his proper coverage in terms of his importance.

- Other than an extremely brief highlight of us losing to Dave Bliss’s New Mexico team in 1999, the documentary essentially ended in 1995.

- I have always said I have two heroes, my grandfather and Norm Stewart. I’m incredibly fortunate to have both to benchmark against. I really enjoyed watching the documentary to remind me why. MU could not possibly had a finer coach and representative of MU basketball.
