MU's 75-66 victory over #3 ku from 1/29/01 will air on

SEC Network today 10 a.m.-noon. For those who don't recall the game, it is significant for several reasons:

- a moment of silence was held before the game in recognition of victims of the Oklahoma State basketball plane crash that week

- at a halftime ceremony Hearnes court was renamed Norm Stewart Court and he was presented the game ball afterwards

- ku entered the game 17-1, undefeated in the Big 12, and ranked #3. It marked the fifth time in six years ku traveled to Mizzou ranked in the top eight, only to lose to an unranked Tiger squad. MU defeated ku by 22 points the year before. The victory put MU 5-4 all time vs ku in Big 12 play.

- ku led the nation entering the game in FG%, but MU held them to 35% shooting in the first half to take a 37-23 lead into the locker room.

- after falling behind by 17, ku went on an 18-0 run to take the lead in the second half

- Kareem Rush finished with 27 points and 11 rebounds in helping MU rebuild the lead. Brian Grawer also knocked down 4 three pointers in the game.

- "The frustrating thing is I don't think they had their A game, and I think Quin (Snyder) would say the same thing," Kansas coach Roy Williams said. "But whatever letter grade you give their game, it was five or six times better than ours."
