The American Electorate as a rule goes with the safe option.

As the General has not begun yet and it is VERY likely the Dems let loose on the guy once it does drawing into question the guy's character and, yes, his long history of prevarications, his failures and his history of cheating, talking big and hiding behind bankruptcies and lawyers.

THEN you will, you WILL see him go off half-cocked responding to these attacks and draw more and more folks into questioning who this guy is.

I would be VERY shocked to see him come out on top of this.
