The stink of desperation is not attractive.
The Big 12 is only Texas leaving from imploding, and that's been the case since we left. Some members are still in denial, but deep in their hearts they know. Texas doesn't mind, because as long as it's true, they have all the power and all the freedom to get or have whatever they want. Keeping the Big 12 on the precipice serves Texas. That's why they don't want to add members. If they did, a crippled Big 12 could still survive without Texas, and they don't want that.
Anything else you hear coming out of their mouths is just spin, desperately trying to make it appear that they're better off than they are.
