with a brain knew this attack came from Saudi Arabia, almost all of the attackers were Saudi nationals.
If the money and planning came from SA then there was no question that some of the Royal family was involved. If you have money or power in SA you are part of the Royal family, there are thousands of them. There was very little question that some of the Intel and planning likely came from SA governmental officials. Does that mean that the SA government was involved, no just that some of the workers were.
Why was the information redacted? National security, we have always known that we are not well liked by the Saudi people but we overlook that because the Saudi government is one of the very few allies we have in that part of the world. If this info had come out right after the attacks public outcry would have demanded that we at the very least cut all ties with SA. That would have been very poor politics at the time. There is a good chance that the public would have demanded retribution which would have ended all ties with SA and possibly toppled their government.
Why are people acting surprised about this report?
