The big tejas knows they need to expand or it is over but they don't want to look desperate.


Luckily for them they can "auction' the spots out because there are other schools in even a more desperate state.



Problem is the schools that would be willing to bid are not going to move the needle much as far as competition, interesting matchups or money generation go.


If they were smart (and they are not) they would add Memphis, BYU, Cincy and Colorado State. That would add to their population numbers and help current network money.


It would also give WVU some closer schools.

Give everyone full shares and help them build their competitiveness up. Not sure how to do that maybe put stipulations on how they spend and how they schedule.


If they are lucky the teams rise to the challenge before the power four decide to go to 16 and the conference survives.
