Pinkel did some really, really good things. Widenhofer, Stull were restricted by utterly unsupportive (stupid) management above them. Pinkel came on board long after they learned (re-learned) how a successful football program would benefit the rest of the University, and provided the football program many critical advantages not afforded Stull and Widenhofer.
