Something had to change or Boren is just blowing more smoke.
Staples is pointing to the ACC agreement.
Maybe the playoff gods are demanding 12 team conferences
Maybe Boren is threatening with OU to leave.
Maybe ESPN is moving to pull the plug on LHN, or pushing for rebrand as B12N.
There has to be a reason.
