people doing things that don't infringe on anyone's rights.
US Gov't intervening militarily, economically and in any other available manner in the rest of the world's governments - endless and boundless intervention.
Role of government is now to infringe upon the rights of its citizens rather than to protect them.
Massive federal government and federalism has become how citizens think the US "should be"; created massive dependence on the state which has led to nearly every big problem the US has domestically - more services is more debt and more taxation and less freedom and more divisiveness and on and on and on - and it's propped up by govt indoctrination in public schools, through the media.
that's the base of the iceberg, but hardly comprehensive.
SCOTUS determining constitutionality of federal laws equates to the fox guarding the henhouse ==> more and more federal over-reach. States are useless and powerless, the individual even worse.
In short - liberty of the individual is no longer valued by the vast majority of citizens in favor of faux-freedoms "provided by" the nanny state and a massive military. It's a house of cards.
