I disagree with open carry, personally, because it actually makes a spectacle of the person carrying the weapon, causes some people to be uncomfortable, and takes away any tactical advantage that might otherwise have been gained by the element of surprise. If a shooter enters a room, I would expect them to focus on the person open carrying first, as they pose the most obvious risk.
