Removing kickoffs has been an idea floating around for a few years.
I don't know the data on injuries during kickoffs vs. other plays, but I'd be OK with a change if it really is that much more dangerous statistically. Maybe keep kickoffs to open each half but put the ball at a designated spot following scores.
