billions of dollars in advertising that encourages irrational and uneducated decisions?

Which is odd considering a free market needs rational and educated consumers to operate properly.

Sure, people are lazy and irresponsible.

But no, that doesn't make it okay for a company to develop an ingredient that shuts off brain receptors in hopes that people continue to eat their product -- and ultimately buy more.
