Little or no chance of happening

I wish it COULD happen, because if it could it probably would. But the officers would risk severe disciplinary action, including termination, as well as legal action. Although police unions along the east coast are generally far stronger than unions in other regions, it is very doubtful that officers would be willing to endure the consequences of making that stand. Officers are not given the same ability to engage in work stoppages as the rest of society, and yet they also are not afforded a reasonable and viable replacement for that leverage, such as binding mediation. They are generally unable to remedy their low pay because of this, and they probably won't be able to refuse to work the convention.

The east coast is full of people, including police officers, who consistently vote democrat despite otherwise conservative values. I have never understood it. I am not positive that there is not a measurable amount of officers who won't vote for her over there. I would think not, but you never know.
