This was a direct attack at Trump and a very good move by Obama. Trump was essentially alone in his pledge declassify the 28 pages. Trump tried to make it a plank in the GOP platform and was not successful. Many of Trump supporters had this as their top or near the top of policies they liked about Trump.

This takes a significant piece off the board that can not be used by Trump.

The flip side is will the public use the information and open their eyes or will the media whitewash be effective and make it a distant memory by the time November rolls around?
