Sternjagers Dakota Wingdancer

Kota is a German Shorthaired Pointer, owned by Brian and Shelly Haeffner. Kota hails from the Sternjager kennels owned and operated by George and Shannon McMahon in Ozawkie, KS.

Accomplishments to date:

Whelped May 14, 2005
Arrived at his new home on July 10, 2005 along with Tana, also from Sternjager
Achieved a Prize III - 91 Points at the Missouri Uplands Chapter of NAVHDA's Natural Ability Test on October 15, 2005. Kota scored 4's in Nose, Pointing and Cooperation, 3's in Search, Tracking and Desire and a 2 in Water. He needed more motivation than a dummy could provide to get him to swim, but went enthusiastically for the bird. Kota did a good job for a 5-month old pup.
Pointed his first covey of quail on November 4, 2005 at Indian Hills Conservation Area in Scotland County, MO.
Pointed his first pheasant on November 12, 2005 at Tuttle Creek Wildlife Area in Kansas.
